Could it be possible to have the perfect portrait session? An afternoon taking photographs of a family that is so crazy and fun together, that within minutes you want to be their best friend? There is a reason I have seven photographs from this session displaying on the wall in my studio office, and it's because I loved this session so much. The children were adorable and the parents were sweet, kind, fun and all around good people. The kids were giggly, active, crazy at times, but laughing for majority of the session. I do recall one moment where all three kids had jumped on my back to tackle me, but that is just how I roll. But it wasn't just the fun moments from this session. I loved the simple styling and colors. I love off-white, tan, cream, along with the jeans, but then there is the little pop of pink from the inside of the oldest daughter's jacket for just a smidge of color pop. There were casual and dressy all at once, and the outfit selection paired perfectly with the tan color of the walls in their living room. In fact, when I painted my studio office, I selected a color that would match the outfits because I loved the color so much and later used that same wall color in my new home. But this photograph stands for everything I want to deliver for every single one of my clients after their portrait session - an adorable portrait showing a happy family with casual elegance and fun.
