Throughout our in-person ordering appointment, this super sweet Mom consistently referred to this image as "the money shot". Why would she call a family portrait "The Money Shot"? Well, because it's the photograph every mother wants to have at the end of their portrait session - everyone looking at the camera smiling. And in her eyes, I nailed it with this one single image and because I nailed it, she knew she had to have it and it would be used on everything from her Christmas cards, to a large portrait for her home, and the accordion booklets for her mother and prints for the aunts and grandparents. In all honesty, I strive to get a "money shot" for every single mother. Not because I want them to spend money with me, but because it's their ultimate desire. I know people call and reach out to me because they have seen some of the beautiful candid portraits, but almost every mother and grandmother too wants photographs of everyone looking at the camera smiling, and I will aim to deliver that for everyone. In this particular situation, not only is everyone looking at the camera, but they are happy and both Mom and Dad love how they look in the photo too. And that's really important, because no matter how cute the kids look - Mom isn't going to love the photograph if she doesn't also love how she looks too. This photograph says happiness to me, and I know it did to the family as well. Keywords: blue (141), boys (120), Charlotte NC (183), denim (78), Family (174), Family Portraits (138), posed portraits (45). 1/250; f/5.6; ISO 800; 140.0 mm.
